I’m not sure how to post to the blog, but wanted to share this pic of Mike and Marin on Chesterman Beach. It’s from about 10 years ago, one of the times the two of you came to visit us in Tofino. I’ve always liked this photo (it lives on our living room bookcase) in part because of the way the two of them are so clearly enjoying being where they are. Photos of Mike often seem to capture his more dramatic side (the one that hangs in the bathroom on Protection, of him leering with the big bloody salmon, comes to mind) but one of the things we love about Mike is his quiet love of nature, and especially of the sea.
Victor was with us that day too. There are no pictures of him because he was racing around too fast for the camera. In this photo he’s probably running in a big circle around Mike, just outside the frame.
